Opening night: 17 March at 19.00
Also performed on: 18, 20 March at 19.00, 21 March at 16.00, 22 March at 19.00

Garbage Room is a children’s performance for adults. Jukka Korpi and Sten Sandell perform a volcanic lullaby that is impossible to look away from among furniture made from old junk.

In Garbage Room, choreographer and dancer Jukka Korpi continues his successful co-operation with musician Sten Sandell. The pair has produced a two-man show characterized by sharp contrasts between raw energy and stillness, offering an experience that is as shocking and intense as a newborn baby’s introduction to life.

The set is made from junk found near Jukka Korpi’s home in Stockholm. The two performers have collected all kinds of old stuff, which he has turned into furniture charged with symbolism.

Jukka Korpi and Sten Sandell have worked together for a number of years. They have appeared at Moderna Dansteatern twice with full-length work Melodika Anatomika – Dances for Intestines and Skeletons in 2003and the solo performance One, Two in 2006.
