Nätverket Sweet and Tender Collaborations intar Göteborgs Dans & Teaterfestival för att förverkliga idéer, workshops och projekt och slutligen – framföra en egen musikal. 

Sweet and Tender Collaborations är ett konstnärsdrivet nätverk med 52 medlemmar från olika delar av världen. Utgångspunkten är först och främst en idé om alternativ kulturproduktion och kulturellt utbyte. Nätverket kombinerar individuella resurser för att förverkliga den tillgång, rörlighet och tillväxt som annars är svår för varje enskild konstnär att skapa på egen hand. Sweet and Tender Collaborations verkar också för ifrågasätta allmänna föreställningar om vad scenkonst och kulturellt utbyte är och kan vara. En utmaning ligger i att få autonoma och institutionella strukturer att våga ta risker, att bli lite mer engagerade genom ett konstnärligt utbyte med Sweet and Tender Collaborations.   Och du, förställningen har redan börjat:

>   I would go for the impossible... the musical!  We can find a way of organizing the work so that it can be made in such a short time. We could even rehearse in this lab and open it to people to participate in. We have a music committee, a choreography one etc, or whatever other simple and manageable principle, and at least we really try something and we might even have a lot of fun.. Otherwise it is like a 'fragment of experience' or a platform of individual work, which is also possible... But yeah, I vote for the musical!
>>   If we were to go for the wild thing (the musical idea), I had a thought that each one of us finds a clip - from a musical scene, and learn the song and moves, before we come. Also we all learn same scene that we can do in ensemble. So when we get together, we already have some materials to play with.  We can decide on the story line, and change lyrics or put them differently etc, and make it a something?

>>>   Hm! I have something even worse! Why don't we also make our own songs that we can teach and learn, so different topic and styles will appear in the show.
I am definitely for this. When I just imagine the process of combining all these songs in one presentation and finding a way to present them on stage I get shivers down my spine. Feel like activism again :)
